As I think back, 2017 has been another interesting and successful year for MIP. As with every year, this year had its challenges and I am proud of how my colleagues at MIP worked relentlessly to overcome them, constantly keeping the customer in focus. We’ve come through this one strong and full of energy. 2017 was our biggest year in sales ever and we expect 2018 to be even better. This is all due to you, our customers, and the trust you have in MIP, its products and services.
We started the year by reviewing our current organizational structure to ensure that it would allow us to improve the way we do business and keep exceeding your expectations. We have made changes and hired individuals that will become more and more familiar to some of you and will help MIP in its growth and delivering on the promises of its corporate objectives. We cannot wait for you to meet Francois Pilon, Senior Vice-President Sales & Marketing and Eric Turcotte, Senior Vice-President Supply Chain.
In the UK, we have continued to successfully integrate Cromptons to the MIP family since we officially acquired it in November 2016. In March 2018, the full integration will be complete. This has been a smooth transition where two companies sharing similar values become one.
The US portion of our business keeps being supported by a dedicated team that supports our customers and business partners with an unparalleled level of knowledge and professionalism.
Our Canadian division has been a true example of teamwork as this Business Unit has gone through its fair share of challenges in 2017 and will end the year with true record numbers and a new Business Leader that already has a long history with MIP: Michael Trigiani
MIP's International Division keeps on delivering and a big credit goes to its very small team that constantly put customers first and makes sure to always deliver top notch service.
MIPe (Germany) sales numbers keep growing. Through the ups and downs of its 2017 business, MIPe has shown engagement and resolve to maintain superior levels of service and will keep improving in 2018.
We experience that our customers are continuously raising the bar on what they expect from us, on cost, quality, service and innovation. At MIP, we proudly accept the challenge and will work hard and smart in 2018 to continue to earn your business.
